Every Parent Should Read This Post

A friend of mine posted this on his Facebook account a few weeks ago and I feel it is important to re-post again.  The original source and origin is unknown.  If anybody knows this, please feel free to let me know so the right person or persons get the credit for writing this amazing poem.

This is so true in so many ways.  Parents take sports way to seriously and not let the kids play to have fun.  This is Little League games and they don’t get paid to play.  They play to have fun and be around a positive atmosphere and around friends they might not seen since school was out.  Think twice before being rude to any kids out there or even to your own child.  Remember, he’s just a little boy.

This goes towards girls as well as boys on the softball diamonds.

Below is the poem written out from above picture just in case you can’t read the sign.

HE IS JUST A LITTLE BOY

He stands at the plate,
with his heart pounding fast.
The bases are loaded,
the die has been cast.

Mom and Dad cannot help him,
he stands all alone.
A hit at this moment,
would send the Team home.

The ball meets the plate,
he swings and he misses.
There’s a groan from the crowd,
with some boos and some hisses.

A thoughtless voice cries,
strike out the bum.
Tears fill his eyes,
the game’s no longer fun.

So open your heart,
and give him a break.
For it’s moments like this,
a man you can make.

Please keep this in mind,
when you hear someone forget.
He is just a little boy,
and not a man yet.

Good Saying to Live By

First of all, since last week was a week after a major holiday and the start of baseball season for my son T I was not able to find time to write on my blog. T’s team is doing very good this year. After 4 at-bats, he has 1 run, 3 walks, and an RBI as his team is 1-1.

Now everything is getting back to our normal routine, I have to share this picture with you. This is a picture of a wall in my kitchen by the night-light (The White bowl). I helped K paint the kitchen a few weeks ago and she found this saying at a store while she was getting the paint.

“Live Well, Laugh Often, Love Much”

This saying has three awesome approaches to life in just one saying. Let me explain to you what I mean.

“Live Well” – This is telling me we need to live a healthy life style and not just by exercising and eating the right food. Live your life to the fullest is what I live my life by in every aspect.

“Laugh Often” – This is self-explanatory. Have fun and think of the positives of life and don’t get caught up in the depression and negatives of the world. Laughing will make the world a better place and it will also keep you healthier in the aspect of your mind. Smiling and laughing always make everyone feel better about themselves and everyone around them if it is used with the next part of the saying. “Love”

“Love Much” – To me this is the most important part of the saying. We need to live with love and keep hate, anger, as well as being nasty out of our lives. It will also keep us to a better mood as to will keep everyone around us in one too. Love is a very powerful emotion that can make the world a better place as well as it could bring peace to the world.

So if you live a well-rounded life with laughing and smiling and keep love in your hearts, then you can help start changing the world to be a better place as well as teaching your children to be a positive force in the world instead of a hateful force. Our children learn from our example so pay attention to how you react around people as well as what you say because it might haunt you when your children start acting that way.

Back to blogging Again

I’m back to blogging again after taking some time off due to sickness going through my family as well as trying to stay in shape and getting the outside of my house back into shape before this summer.

Between all three of them I had to put blogging on hold.  Since my family is all healthy and I’m using the outside house work as a way to help keep myself in shape, I have found time to start blogging.  I have a bunch of new ideas for posts on here as well as changes to my blog in the upcoming weeks.  I will also start planning on having at least three or more posts a week.

The reasons I’m doing this is simple.  The simple design of my blog is getting to be too small and I want to expand it.  The knowledge of being a father of four children can also help other fathers that are in the same place in life that I am or where I was.  Hope to increase my blog readership so I can hear from other father’s on what they are going through.

Keep coming back for more posts since.  I’m keeping this post short due to having to go back to work since this is my lunch hour.

Happy Valentine’s Day

Happy Valentine’s day to everyone out there.

1 Corinthians 13:7-8 ()
7 It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.
8 Love never fails. But where there are prophecies, they will cease; where there are tongues, they will be stilled; where there is knowledge, it will pass away. #Bible http://j.mp/vVllh6
